Royal Ascot

Racing first took place at East Cote, as it was originally known, in 1711 when Queen Anne decided that the area was ideal place for "horses to gallop at full stretch".

Ascot has retained close links with the Royal Family ever since then and is the only true Royal racing event in the world.

Royal Ascot is the epitome of style and sophistication. It is one of the leading events of both the racing and social calendar and for many it is the highlight of the summer. Over four glorious days in June over 250,000 race-goers can escape to a world of excitement, exhilaration and indulgence.

Over 28 million viewers also enjoy the spectacle of the racing - televised broadcasting of the event is screened in over 70 countries across the globe.

Royal Ascot attracts more PR coverage than any other racing event with the focus on fashion, style and the glitterati. Not surprisingly Ladies Day on the Thursday draws the greatest volume of visitors.

Since 1711 the name of Royal Ascot has been synonymous with impeccable taste, classic fashion, style and quality. The Royal Ascot Collection embodies the qualities associated with this unique event. Using only the finest materials and bespoke craftsmanship, products are made to the most exacting standards.

Royal Ascot is clearly an original brand that has global appeal. TLC aim to establish Royal Ascot as an internationally recognised luxury brand and mark of style across the globe.
