Established in 1895, The National Trust preserves and protects the countryside, coastlines and buildings of England, Wales and Northern Ireland through practical caring and conservation, learning and discovery, and encouraging millions of people to visit and enjoy their national heritage, for ever, for everyone.
The National Trust invests over £160 million each year in the nation's environmental infrastructure. Policies have been launched to support key initiatives such as climate change and wildlife protection. These initiatives are a key focus for the future.
The Trust supports thousands of local enterprises. It protects over 700 miles of coastline as well as over 617,000 acres of countryside, moorland, beaches and coastline. Among the historic properties in the Trust's care are various fine houses, industrial monuments and mills, churches, pubs and inns. The Trust also supports over 2,000 tenant farmers on its land.
The National Trust brand extension currently covers a diverse range of products,
from greenhouses to cornicing, from advent calendars to food, toiletries and gardening gift ranges.
TLC has been appointed to work alongside the Trust to develop additional ranges of brand extension products, which reflect, support and enhance the core activities and mission of the National Trust. The values of the licensing programme reflect the role of the Trust and the policies and initiatives that they support.
Core areas of opportunity are food and
drink, home and garden product, wellbeing, leisure and lifestyle, entertainment
and learning.
